| Pictured above: Artist Matt Holmes has been asked to carve a large bear for Vine Hill School located in Santa Cruz, California. Above left, Matt is standing with the log that will be used to carve the bear. Above right Matt is standing with the finished bear. Thank you Big Creek Lumber for donating the log. The reason we chose this log, besides it's beauty and size, is because the log has metal inside of it. The artist always tries to use wood that has fallen in storms, needed to be removed for safety reasons or that would have otherwise been discarded. For more information about |
